SUMTER (April 19) – Bill Connor, candidate for the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor, today won the first 2010 Lt. Gov. straw poll, garnering 64% of the vote in a potential four-man field at the Sumter County Republican Convention.
“We are thrilled to have this kind of early momentum,” Connor said. “Our message of limited government, lower taxes, and a return to South Carolina’s traditional values is resonating with voters around the state, and it is truly encouraging to see these kinds of early results. We will continue to work to get our message out throughout the state.”
